Philip Sima

Architect + Certified Passive House Consultant
Philip Sima is a Registered Architect and Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC). Phil was first exposed to the world of building while working in construction during summers as a student at McGill University. After graduating from McGill, with a degree in environmental studies, and a passion for building, he worked as a carpenter with a 'green thumb' for Piche Construction in Montreal for several years. Seeking to expand upon these experiences and work on larger projects, he pursued a Masters in Architecture with an emphasis in sustainability from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to forming Balance Architects, Phil has had the pleasure of practicing architecture with some of the most talented teams, clients, and professionals all across the globe. He has worked on award winning projects and competitions, both in Boston and abroad.
Chad Wulleman

Chad Wulleman began his journey by studying both civil engineering and fine arts before later pursuing a Masters degree in architecture at Wentworth Institure of Technology. In effort to further expand his knowledge of the built environment he would spend a few years working in the construction field, focusing on the relationships between designers and contractors. His wide breadth of knowledge from various fields is something that allows him to treat each project as a unique problem, with a variety of possible solutions. Prior to forming Balance Architects, Chad had the pleasure of working with a variety of talents teams throughout the Northeast on projects throughout the nation.
