Climbing Gym
Located on David Ortiz Drive, Central Rock Gym's newest space features sweeping views of Fenway with over 230 linear feet of climbing wall. The ceilings are exposed, revealing the guts of the high-rise structure above.
The exposed concrete floors and foundation walls sharply contrast the warm wood window sills and bare white columns and walls. From a permitting perspective, this project had unique challenges due to the land being owned by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Review was required by both State and local building authorities.
